Kathy Gill's digital journalism class created a multimedia website that explores The Future of News. The students also created individual stories on a topic of their choice.

In:Site: Arts & Culture Online

In:SiteStudents in Florangela Davila's special reporting topics class designed and reported for In:Site, a Facebook application and student publication dedicated to providing interesting, relevant and insightful arts and culture news. You can get involved by joining the In:Site Facebook community.

Sound News

Sounds News is dedicated to covering news affecting the Puget Sound environment. It is a project of the University of Washington's Environmental Journalism class, a winter 2009 course in the Communication Department. The course was taught by Seattle Times reporter Warren Cornwall.

Digital Journalism

Students in the Digital Journalism course taught by Florangela Davila created videos and audio slideshows as part of their final projects.

The Road to New Journalism: Multimedia News Coverage

Students in Roger Simpson's Advanced Reporting and Newswriting class maintained a blog and explored the use of multimedia in some of their stories.

UWJournalism Magazine

The articles for UWJournalism magazine were written by students in Communication 361, a reporting and writing course. The course is taught by Randy Beam.

Narrative Journalism

A magazine of literary journalism by Communication students. Narrative journalism is a genre of feature writing that combines rigorous reporting with fiction-writing techniques and eschews dramatic, news-making events to focus on everyday life and ordinary people. Deb Kaplan taught the course.
